One way to tell how popular is an article or a blog post is to look at how many times it gets “quoted” entirely, or “re-published” by other websites..

When JulieSchwietert first published Bye-bye backpacker, Hello Flashpacker? on Matadorpulse we realized of course that it was a pretty good article. Well we were not alone.

In a few days we’ve seen the same article being published on so many different travel websites, ranging from Plan romantic getaways to My travel blog: honeymoon travel, summer travel, etc., Travel and Leisure information, LagunaTravels: Make Money on Worldwide Travel Benefits, How to travel the world, to make it finally even in Travel for senior !!

The best part though is that searching on Google the initial, identical phrase, these guys don’t appear at all among the various sites “quoting” the article..

Should anyone tell them what search engines think of duplicate content? Won’t be me, hihi..
